Let me start by saying that I love food! Not just a little, like when people say it and don’t really mean it. I REALLY love food! So it just kinda naturally happened. I was always cooking, so that I could enjoy my favorite foods. Baking is my favorite though, as a little girls I remember sliding the chair up to the counter to bake with my grandmother, it just stuck with me.
I am a stay at home mother & wife. It is the best job I have ever had! I am married to my best friend, who supports me in whatever wild & crazy dream I may be chasing. Together we are raising two beautiful, rambunctious, sweet, charming, crazy children (hopefully soon maybe even a third). They keep us so busy with sports and school. All of our free time we share with our wonderful friends and family. We are a very busy, always active, and some times outdoorsy family.
My love of baking really grew into its own exciting adventure when my daughter asked me to make her a rock star birthday cake in February of 2008. It was such a thrill to make something that she loved so much, was beautiful, and best of all – you could eat it! Several months later my very good friend asked for a birthday cake for her son and I was off. No longer would birthday cakes just be a simple frosted cake. No, from now on my cakes would be as special as the people & occasions they were celebrating. Unique and beautiful, and full of personality. Thank you so much for visiting my blog!
